**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. **Duties:** - Process payroll for employees, including calculating wages, benefits, and deductions - Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits - Review and verify timesheets and attendance records - Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions regarding pay - Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and guidelines - Collaborate with HR to update employee information in the HRIS system - Generate payroll reports as needed **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred - Proven experience in payroll processing and accounting - Knowledge of governmental accounting practices - Proficiency in 10-key typing and data entry - Familiarity with journal entries and corporate accounting principles - Experience with HRIS systems such as UltiPro or PeopleSoft is a plus - Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity - Excellent communication skills and attention to detail This position offers competitive compensation, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
